What is the purpose of Vision Trips?​

​

• To understand how Firm Foundations Romania is reaching the Roma people through educational programs and sharing the Gospel and to meet beneficiaries who are directly impacted by the programs;

• To gain a better knowledge of the Roma ethnicity, the history of this segregated people group, and their current status and role in Romanian society

• To provide participants with a greater understanding of the needs in Romania which can then be shared with others

What is the trip itinerary?

Below is a trip schedule based on a 5 day visit to Brasov. The schedule may vary based on arrival and departure dates, as FFR programs are available to visit on weekdays only. 

​

• Day 1: Arrive in Brasov. Settle into hotel. Dinner with FFR team. ​

• Day 2: Visit FFR's Hospital Programs - Join the morning hospital shift (930am-1230pm) where you will pass our diapers and provide arms of love to the babies. Assist team with sorting donations, making "baby bundles" for the mothers in the hospital, and then possibly do a home visit to deliver donations items and food to a family in need. ​

• Day 3: Bran Castle & Saxon Fortresses day* with Active Travel (5 hour) + Brasov guided city tour. Option to substitute Peles Castle instead of Brasov guided tour for an additional cost.

• Day 4: Visit FFR's Agape Center - Tour the Agape Center facility and meet the students in our programs. If interested, visitors can plan a Bible story, activity, or craft to share with the kids.

• Day 5: Tourist day - Sighisoara/Viscri/Rupea day* with Active Travel tour company OR free day to explore Brasov. Goodbye dinner with FFR team.

• Day 6: Depart Brasov.

*Suggested tour options. Active Travel has over 40 tours available (including the option to customize), so tours can be catered to visitors preference and interest. Prices may vary based on chosen tours.

How much does is cost?

Estimated total trip cost is $2,300 per person:

​

• Flight and ground transportation - $1,200

• Accommodations (2 persons) - $130/night 

• Meals - $200

• 5-day itinerary as listed above, including meals with FFR team - $550

​

You will be responsible for your own travel costs, accommodations, and meals. The $550 will be given to FFR who will then handle the costs for the 5-day itinerary. We can assist with booking travel and hotel stays upon request.
